Engineer Fargo, ND – Full Time Productive Resources
(www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of
our engineering team for our customer's facility in Fargo, ND. As a
member of our team, the selected candidate will plan, coordinate,
and perform product design, testing and/or analysis work for a
complete project of moderate scope or for a significant portion or
a sub-system of a major and diverse project. Operate in a team
environment, providing input to design solutions and participating
in design reviews. May assign, coordinate and review portions of
the work to support personnel. Decisions are made within
established guidelines and may be reviewed by supervisors. This is
a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with the
opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities
within our organization. Duties: Work with team members to gather,
review, and structure test requirements from internal and external
customers. Provide constructive feedback to ensure requirements are
complete and testable. Participate in—and with assistance,
oversee—Product Verification & Validation testing of electric
motors, inverters, converters, and related systems both in-house
and at external facilities. Ensure all test plans, procedures,
results, and project schedules are current, accurate, and clearly
communicated to stakeholders. Apply structured troubleshooting
methods to identify root causes of issues. Work collaboratively
with peers to resolve findings efficiently while maintaining safety
and quality. Build and maintain strong working relationships with
internal and external customers to support effective project
alignment and execution. Coordinate with project teams to ensure
all testing activities adhere to defined product requirements,
design intent, and validation standards. Travel within the United
States—typically once or twice per year—to meet with customers for
concept development or refinement of product requirements.
Requirements: Minimum B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering,
Agricultural Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent
from an accredited engineering program. Basic understanding of
embedded controllers. Understanding of safe high voltage practices.
Knowledge of motor control principles and system-level testing.
Basic understanding of design validation processes. Effective
organization and multi-tasking skills. Strong customer service
orientation. Experience in product development environments.
Experience working with dynos (motor dynamometers). Hands-on
experience with development and debugging tools: oscilloscopes,
multimeters, power analyzers, etc. Knowledge of microcontroller
peripherals (PWM, bootloaders, ADCs, serial/parallel interfaces).
Familiarity with communication networks: CAN, Ethernet, RS 232/485,
etc. Experience with three phase power and high voltage systems.
Understanding of motor control software. As a condition of
