Job Description The Electrical and Instrumentation Technician is
responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and
repairing electrical systems and instrumentation equipment to
ensure safe and efficient plant operations. This role requires
strong technical skills, attention to detail, and adherence to
safety standards. Responsibilities Install, maintain, and repair
electrical systems, control panels, and instrumentation equipment.
Perform preventive maintenance on electrical and instrumentation
systems to minimize downtime. Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical
and instrumentation issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
Calibrate and configure sensors, transmitters, and other
instrumentation devices. Read and interpret electrical schematics,
wiring diagrams, and technical manuals. Ensure compliance with all
safety regulations, codes, and company standards. Document
maintenance activities, repairs, and calibration records
accurately. Collaborate with operations and engineering teams to
support continuous improvement initiatives. Respond promptly to
emergency breakdowns and assist in root cause analysis. Essential
Skills High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification
or associate degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or related
field preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical and
instrumentation maintenance in an industrial environment. Strong
knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, and instrumentation devices.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Proficient in troubleshooting and problem-solving. Familiarity with
safety standards and lockout/tagout procedures. Excellent
communication and teamwork skills. Additional Skills &
Qualifications Experience with automated control systems and SCADA.
Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, and ISA standards. Familiarity with CMMS

environment is fairly clean, with a light presence of SO2 in the
air. The facility is warm in the winter and can become hot in the
summer. Employees should be prepared to work in industrial
settings, including exposure to noise, heat, and confined spaces,
and be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended
periods. Overtime, weekend, and on-call work may be required. Job
Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of
Wahpeton, ND. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is
$30.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits
and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
