Director, Analytical Development will lead development of new
technologies and optimization of existing platforms toward the
advancement to 'industry leading' analytical capabilities for
Aldevron with focus on DNA, RNA and Protein products of various
quality levels. This position will act as the technical lead for
all AD related projects, will be responsible for leading a
scientific team in producing Statements of Work (SOW), Design of
Experiments (DoE), execution of experiments on the agreed timeline,
data analysis and appropriate reporting including transfer and
development reports, as well as SOPs, memos, and presentations
internally and client facing. Responsibilities: - Serve as the
technical/scientific lead for all Analytical Development teams and
represent the AD department and Aldevron as analytical SME both
internal and external to Aldevron - Lead AD strategic discussion
and decision making for development and implementation of new
analytical services and technologies that support Aldevron business
needs and strategy - Develop a scientific team capably of myriad
challenges when addressing DNA, RNA, and Protein analytics. -
Develop templated or standard work DOE process development plans
for AD to define handoffs and training to the validation team, as
well as a support network for future QC or Manufacturing
investigations. - Accountable for creation of detailed, accurate,
project summary reports and presenting findings and recommendations
to management and collaborators/ clients.. - Ensure that the
documentation associated with standard work and GDP are completed
by the team, and support assigned development assistance with other
departments - Plan inventory requisitions and capex requirements -
Work with the R&D team to research and assess
process/technology improvements - Lead internal tech transfer of
the developed methods to method validation team - Lead/ govern
client interactions and technology transfer for analytical
development Qualifications: - Ph.D. in chemistry, analytical
chemistry, bioanalytical chemistry biochemistry or related
scientific field, preferred. - Minimum 10 years of experience
working in a molecular biology, biochemistry or microbiology
laboratory environment. - Minimum of 5 years experience in leading
assay development and optimization, experimental design, data
analysis and data and concept presentation. - Knowledge of
bioanalytical principles and CMC requirements, including support of
scale-up, tech transfer, and process optimization - Expertise In
characterization and release of biological products #LI-LM1. When
