CHI St. Joseph's Health is hiring a full-time Dental Assistant to
work in our Community Dental Clinic. CHI St. Joseph's Health
Community Dental Clinic provides long-term, comprehensive dental
care for people with state-provided insurance plans.
Our The Dental Hygienist and the Dentist work together to meet the
oral health needs of patients. Some responsibilities include:
patient screening procedures; such as assessment of oral health
conditions, review of the health history, oral cancer screening,
head and neck inspection, dental charting and taking blood
pressure, taking digital radiographs, removing calculus and plaque
from all surfaces of the teeth, teaching patients appropriate oral
hygiene strategies to maintain oral health, counseling patients
about good nutrition and its impact on oral health, performing
documentation and office management activities.
When necessary our staff dentists complete surgical services on
site or refer patients to the appropriate specialist. Community
Dental Clinic staff also provide outreach and education to students
in area schools.
- Graduate of accredited Dental Hygiene Program.
- Current Minnesota Dental Hygiene state licensure.
- Associate Degree required.
- Able to meet ADA requirements.Preferred Qualilfications:
- Previous Dental Hygienist experience preferred.
