  Job Summary
  
  
  • 
    
  • Appropriate specimen collection and corresponding orders for diagnostic testing.
    
  • Performance and appropriate documentation of diagnostic testing.
    
  • Accurate and timely reporting of diagnostic testing.
    
  • Performance and interpretation of Quality Control/Calibration and participation in all quality assessment/improvement activities.
    
  • Maintaining clinical competency through on-going education and professional development.
    
  • Demonstrating knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to respond to specific issues and data reflective of the patient/customer's status. - Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served in the department.
    
    
    Education and/or Experience
    
    
    • 
      
    • Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Science.
      
    • Minimum: -Clinical internship/education as part of Associate Degree Program.
      
      
      Licensure/Certification/Registration
      
      
      • 
        
      • National Certification: MLT (ASCP) or equivalent.
        
      • Certification must be obtained within 12 months of hire date.
        
        
        Work Schedule
        
        
        • 
          
        • Day/Evening shifts; 72 -hours every 2 weeks
          
          
          • 
            
          • 7:30 am - 8:00 pm; shifts range from 8 hours to 11 hours -
            
          • Every 3rd weekend / holiday -
            
            
            
            
            Pay
            
            The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
