Avera is currently seeking Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) looking to deliver the best possible nursing care in Avera's patient-focused settings.

  • The LPN is accountable for performing professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process.
  • Coordinates care in an interdisciplinary manner and is accountable for all residents assigned to him/her according to established nurse practice act.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to respond to specific issues and data reflective of the patient/customer's status.
  • Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served in the department.
  • Promotes and nurtures Mother Joseph Manor's philosophy of a resident centered care environment. Education and/or Experience
    • Graduation from an accredited school of licensed practical nursing.
    • Geriatric, medical, or surgical experience preferred. Licensure/Certification/Registration
      • Current license to practice nursing in the State of South Dakota.
      • Membership in professional organization preferred.
      • BLS certification required. Work Schedule
        • Varied shifts as needed; PRN Pay
          
          The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
