TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified ER/Trauma RN in Devils Lake, North Dakota, 58301! Pay Information $2,150 per week About The Position Job Title: Emergency Room Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Day/Night Rotate Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Valid nursing license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS Must-Have: Strong critical thinking skills, effective communication, adaptability, teamwork, empathy, clinical competence, and time management skills Description: The Emergency Room Registered Nurse will work in a fast-paced environment. You will treat a diverse patient population with varying medical needs. Common diagnoses include acute illness, severe injuries, chest pain, respiratory distress, neurological events, allergic reactions, infectious diseases, and psychiatric emergencies. RNs are expected to mix medications and assist with respiratory meds, equipment, and intubation. Common drips include Insulin, Heparin, Levofed, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and Propofol. You will work closely with physicians and mid-level providers who are onsite 24/7. Nurse-to-patient ratios vary based on patient acuity, with a ratio of 1:4 for stable patients and 1:1 or 1:2 for critically ill patients. Phlebotomy duties will be handled by RNs or lab staff, based on availability. Shifts include a mix of days and nights, requiring flexibility to float to different areas based on staffing needs. Successful candidates will exhibit professionalism, empathy, and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
