Range: $36.50 - $55.00 Department Details The first 12 -24 hours
after admission is the most critical time during a patient’s
inpatient stay. During this time, not only is their care initiated,
the patient will be given an assessment of what other possible
issues may exist. Our admission nurse position is being created to
develop experts at delivering the first 12-24 hours of care. We
want a team who prides themselves on creating a positive patient
experience while delivering exceptional care during our admitted
patients most vulnerable time in the hospital. Job Summary The
Registered Nurse in the Clinical Care Leader (CCL) role facilitates
health care services for patients in cooperation with the health
care team. Facilitates communication and provision of information
and messages in a way that produces clarity and impact. Understands
the importance of inter-team collaboration in breaking down silos
and achieving business results and the ability to lead employees
from various functions to communicate, coordinate work across
divisions, and collaborate in solving problems as one team. Applies
the concept of collaboration to build relationships and coordinate
with other teams. Provides feedback to members of the health care
team. Responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment,
diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to
provide individualized nursing care to patients. Collaborates with
other inter-professional colleagues, including physicians, to plan,
implement and evaluate care. Demonstrates competency and practices
within the full scope of nursing expertise/knowledge and utilizes
appropriate age and population specific standards as designated in
their assigned clinical setting. Cares for patients in all phases
of preventative care, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and
follow-up as patients move along the continuum of care. Responsible
for the coordination of care, patient assessment, patient
education, triage, and various other nursing interventions.
Functions within the scopes and standards of nursing practice as
outlined in the Nurse Practice Act and Administrative Rules in
state of practice and licensure. The Sanford Professional Nursing
Practice recognizes the Scope and Standards of Practice and the
Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements as published
by the American Nurses Association as the foundation of nursing
care delivery and professional conduct. Competent in the registered
nurse (RN) skills of the unit/department. Knowledge of procedures
and programs to ensure employee safety. Assumes leadership role in
high-risk situations. Coordinates the clinical/unit nursing
activities while adhering to Sanford Health philosophy, goals, and
standards of care. Acknowledges their impact on budget and finance
through staffing and ensuring safe patient care. The CCL uses
critical thinking skills to collaborate and coordinate patient care
and manage emergent situations, for the specific assigned clinical
setting. Responsible to intervene when unsafe practices are
identified. Responsible to make patient assignments based on
employee's competencies, scope of practice, experience and
patient's unique needs. Demonstrates effective communication skills
to negotiate and resolve conflicts with and between peers,
inter-professional colleagues, patients and families. Serves as a
mentor to staff while facilitating the over-all unit activities.
Participates in house-wide and/or departmental committees and
assists with the coordination of the Peer Review Process for
employees. Participates in active learning and development
resources. The nurse has knowledge of and utilizes appropriate
age-related patient care protocols relating to the physical and
psychological needs of patients according to department scope of
service. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly
preferred in Fargo, Fargo Network, Bemidji, Sioux Falls Network.
Required in Bismarck and Sioux Falls (Sanford USD Medical Center
and Clinics). Graduate from an accredited nursing program,
including, but not limited to, those accredited by the Commission
on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), Accreditation Commission
for Education in Nursing (ACEN), or National League for Nursing
Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). Minimum
of two years’ clinical experience preferred. Currently holds an
unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the
practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate
licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Obtains and
subsequently maintains required department specific competencies
and certifications. Certification may be required depending on
specialty or service area. Basic Life Support (BLS) required within
