Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Cardiac Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Day/Night Rotate Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 1 year recent medical surgical experience within a large hospital setting License: Active RN License (North Dakota or Compact) Certifications: BLS, NIHSS (or willing to obtain prior to start) Must-Have: 1 year of recent medical surgical experience Willingness to float to all units and locations as needed Experience within a large hospital setting, 250 beds Cardiac experience is highly preferred but not required Experience with Electronic Medical Records Description: The primary responsibilities include assessments, documentation, and completing nursing tasks, as well as medication administration. Equipment utilized in the unit includes Electronic Medical Records, Omnicell, and Alaris IV pumps. Nurse to patient ratio is 4-5:1 on day shift and 5-6:1 on night shift. Clinicians must badge in and out of the facility. Scrub color is navy blue. Travelers should note that they cannot be located within a 60-mile radius of the facility. High success is reported in finding someone to switch shifts if specific days off are needed. Schedules may rotate, with potential for alternating between days and nights. Floating to other medical surgical units is expected as required by unit needs.
