ID: 74837701 Shift: 12H Nights Nights, every 3rd weekend, float to ER holiday rotation Description: Unit Beds20 beds, certifications (i.e., BLS, ACLS?)BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC (if ER nurse)Common diagnoses/Types of patientsFalls, CHF, bowel obstruction, A-fib., Swingbed, and many moreExperience or 'Must have' skills\"Must Have: confident in skills like assessments, infusion pumps, medication administration, social skills, teamwork, and being reliable Prefer: ER experience, first-time traveler is ok\"Are RNs required to titrate drips?Yes and yesCommon titratable &/or set rate dripsInsulin, Heparin, Levophed, set rate: AmiodaroneAre there tele/monitor techs on this unit? Are RNs required to read their own strips? What brand are the tele monitors?Mindray Monitors x8, nurses read strips each shifta nd document, no monitor techsCharge Nurse/House Supervisor? Does the charge nurse take an assignment?charge nurse 24/7, they don't take patient assignments as they cover the ER as well, no house Supervisor, nursing supervisor Mo-FrAre there nurse aids on this unit/RatiosYes, CNAs and PCTs, they check VS, chart, and document I&Os, ADLsRT Equipment (i.e., Cpap, BiPap, High Flow, vents, etc.)no RT, Hamilton C1 ventilator with Cpap and BiPap, high-flow, do not keep ventilated patients, yes, nurses manage respiratory equipment and administer respiratory treatmentsShifts & Scheduling (Do you allow self-scheduling?
