Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Oakes, ND Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,056 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 1/26/2026 About the Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC (if ER nurse) Must-Have: Confident in skills such as assessments, infusion pumps, medication administration, social skills, teamwork, and reliability. Preference for ER experience. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. Description: Unit has 20 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5. RNs are required to titrate drips including insulin, heparin, and levophed. RNs read their own strips and document, as there are no monitor techs on the unit. Charge nurse is present 24/7 and does not take patient assignments, covering the ER as well. Nursing supervisor is available Monday to Friday. Nurse aids and PCTs are present to check vital signs, chart, document intake and outputs, and assist with activities of daily living. Nurses manage respiratory equipment and administer respiratory treatments. Shifts are scheduled as 7a-7p or 7p-7a, with block scheduling available depending on staffing needs. Weekend requirement is every third weekend, with shifts offered on weekends. Holidays are desirable for inclusion into the rotation schedule. Floating to the ER is required to help but not as the first to float. Flexibility is appreciated. Scrubs are provided; there is no specific color requirement. Experience in critical access facilities is preferred. This work environment fosters collaboration and a family-like atmosphere among staff and patients.
