ARRT (S) or ARDMS required, BLS required Must-Have: Must be
proficient in both Ultrasound and Echo. Must have North Dakota
state licensure or obtain prior to employment. Description: The
position requires the candidate to perform a broad spectrum of
ultrasounds. Procedures include OB, pelvic, abdominal, biopsies,
para and thoracentesis, breast, carotid, extremity vascular,
segmental pressure, and ABI imaging. The facility will soon begin
performing a new procedure to treat venous insufficiency using
radiofrequency ablation. The role involves performing
echocardiograms, but proficiency in this area is not mandatory.
Various equipment utilized includes PACS, Epic EMR, Philips Epiq
7G, GE Logiq E9, and CorVascular Falcon Pro. Candidates must have
experience working with computerized charting and medication
systems. Shift requirements involve potential weekend call, where
the tech will check in on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Weekend
responsibilities would require coming in to scan if any cases come
in overnight, but the tech would be free for the rest of the day
thereafter. The candidate will rotate weekend duties with the
current ultrasound technician. The unit comprises a bed size of 25
with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 9. Scrubs are the required dress
code. General hospital and department orientation will be provided.
