Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Oakes, North
Dakota, 58474! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN
(Registered Nurse) Specialty: Med Surg (Medical Surgical) Duration:
13 weeks Shift: 12H Nights, every 3rd weekend, float to ER holiday
rotation Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of
2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS,
TNCC (if ER nurse) Must-Have: Confident in skills like assessments,
infusion pumps, and medication administration. Strong social skills
and teamwork abilities. Reliability in performance. Description:
This unit has 20 beds with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5. Common
diagnoses include falls, CHF, bowel obstruction, A-fib, swing bed,
and many more. RNs are required to titrate drips such as insulin,
heparin, and levophed. There are no monitor techs on this unit;
nurses read and document strips using Mindray monitors. A charge
nurse is present 24/7, and does not take patient assignments as
they also cover the ER. CNA and PCT support is available for
checking vital signs, charting, documenting I&Os, and assisting
with ADLs. Respiratory equipment management includes the Hamilton
C1 ventilator, Cpap, BiPap, and high-flow systems; ventilated
patients are not kept. Blocks of scheduling are available, with the
manager scheduling shifts. Weekend requirements include working
every 3rd weekend, with holiday rotation desired. Floating to the
ER may be necessary based on staffing needs, but flexibility is
appreciated. Scrubs are provided, with no specific color
requirement. Experience in critical access facilities is
