Job Description:
Good Samaritan Health Center is seeking a dedicated Cook to join
our Food & Beverage Operations team within our healthcare facility.
This position plays a crucial role in supporting our commitment to
providing nutritious, balanced meals to our patients, staff, and
visitors, particularly focusing on dietary needs specific to our
population's health and wellness. The ideal candidate will possess
a blend of culinary expertise, a passion for health-focused
cuisine, and a compassionate understanding of the diverse needs of
our community. This role requires a keen eye for quality, strict
adherence to hygiene standards, and the ability to work efficiently
in a fast-paced environment. Prepare meals according to prescribed
dietary requirements and menu plans. Maintain strict hygiene and
safety standards in the kitchen. Collaborate with dietitians and
healthcare professionals to develop appropriate meals. Manage
kitchen inventory and order supplies as needed. Monitor kitchen
equipment and ensure that they are in good working order. Train and
supervise junior kitchen staff. Document all food preparation and
procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Proficiency in various cooking techniques and types of cuisine.
Strong understanding of nutrition and dietary needs. Excellent
organizational and time management skills. Ability to work
collaboratively in a team environment. Capacity to manage and
mentor junior staff. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
