Job Description:
Good Samaritan Health Center seeks a dedicated Cook to join our
food services team in the Food & Beverage Operations department.
This role involves preparing nutritious meals that adhere to the
health standards of our healthcare facility, focusing on the
dietary needs of patients and enhancing the overall well-being of
our underserved community patients. The ideal candidate will bring
culinary expertise, compassion, and a commitment to excellence,
ensuring that every meal contributes to the holistic health
outcomes we strive for. Prepare meals according to prescribed diets
from healthcare professionals Ensure strict compliance with
hygiene, health and safety standards Regularly check ingredients
for freshness and stock inventory appropriately Collaborate with
healthcare providers to tailor meals to patient needs Maintain a
clean and orderly kitchen by following sanitation standards
Participate in menu planning and the implementation of new culinary
initiatives Proficiency in dietary cooking and nutrition Strong
understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations Excellent
organizational and time management skills Ability to work
collaboratively in a high-stress environment Strong communication
skills to interact effectively with medical staff and patients
