Job Description:

Surface-mount technology (SMT) is a method for producing electronic circuits in which the components are mounted or placed directly onto the surface of printed circuit boards (PCBs). Candidates must be able to speak, read and comprehend the English language very well. Resume or work history must be included with all submittals. ASTM approved safety shoes with internal metatarsal protection required.PURPOSE: Perform general operation and maintenance of SMT machines.JOB FUNCTIONS:1. Perform general operation and setup of equipment.2. Perform general start-up and shutdown procedures.3. Assist mechanical engineer on new projects.4. Perform general Preventative Maintenance and calibrations.5. Must stay current with relevant acceptance criteria.6. Perform rework techniques and repairs.7. Perform statistical measurements and make appropriate adjustments.8. Maintain equipment log.Job Requirements:REQUIRED EDUCATION: High School Education or equivalentREQUIRED EXPERIENCE: Manufacturing or assembly experience preferred, previous work experience required. REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:1. High degree of manual dexterity.2. Physical requirements include the ability to stand for an 8 hour shift and to push/pull/lift up to 26 pounds throughout the shift.3. Must be highly motivated, self-starter, and work with little or no supervision.4. Demonstrated computer skills required, including ability to interpret prompts and graphs, field input requirements, and understanding of daily reports.5. Ability to problem solve and determine appropriate level of escalation needed.6. Demonstrated verbal and written communication and teamwork skills.7. Must be able to apply quality control techniques.8. Must be able to read, interpret, and follow work instructions (MWI, SOP, etc.).9. Experience with productivity, quality, and safety and environmental language and goals.10. Demonstrated hand tool knowledge and operation.11. Ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment.12. Must have continual, acute numeric recognition.
