Therapeutic Counselors in our Bismarck office! Therapeutic
Counselor Do you have experience in Mental Health and are looking
for rewarding work in an organization dedicated to making a
positive impact in the lives of others? In the Therapeutic
Counselor role, bring your commitment and clinical skills to a
team-based workplace that puts people first. Provide counseling to
children, adolescents and/or families using multiple forms of
therapeutic approaches, including psycho-educational models and
medical/illness models of assessment and diagnosis. Work with
children, adolescents and/or families to address issues such as
childhood emotional issues or behavioral concerns. Help with
parenting coaching and training as needed. Provide assessments in
the areas of mental status, depression, anxiety, behavior, and
trauma. Maintain a full caseload of patients to meet productivity
guidelines for program requirements. Facilitate/co-facilitate
counseling groups as needed. Participate in collaboration of care
with a multi-disciplinary team. Consult with staff, family, other
providers, etc. about treatment recommendations and progress.
Submit accurate billing for each patient served, indicating
objectives, strategies, and outcomes obtained. Attend bi-weekly
discipline meeting as well as meetings with supervisor(s) as
necessary. Ensure evaluation, progress, session and discharge
reports on each patient are completed in a timely manner. Ensure
adherence to accreditation standards and ethics of confidentiality.
Provide appropriate supervision for licensed staff as needed.
Actively participate in Crisis Prevention training (on-call team).
Qualifications: Master's Degree in a Human Services field, i.e.
Counseling or Social Work. Minimum of two years of relevant
experience in mental health counseling Experience in pediatric
mental health counseling preferred. LICSW or LPCC licensure
required. Self-motivated and detail-oriented with ability to
multi-task. Ability to maintain composure and exercise sound
judgment and discretion. Strong verbal and written communication
skills. Exceptional communication skills with an ability to
establish trust and rapport quickly. A good listener with an
