In addition, this role will assist in administrative support, planning, tracking, coordinating, and implementing community engagement activities and special events. This professional serves as the representative of Gate City Bank internally and externally by promoting and representing our community partnerships.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Assist in executing the Bank's social media strategy.Create social media content that builds meaningful connections and encourages follower engagement in all social media platforms.Communicate volunteer opportunities, donation drives, and community events locally and bank-wide.Coordinate matching gift and volunteer programs in addition to executing procedures and policies regarding these programs.Plan and implement special events as needed.Collaborate with community partners to maintain multiple relationships bank-wide.Maintain the Bank's contributions budget and execute the proper procedures for submissions and approvals.Manage month-end reporting regarding the Bank's philanthropic giving.Maintain positive relationships with our community partners in order to maintain our reputation and increase engagement.Assist in coordinating team member gifts, celebrations, and fun days.Create bank-wide internal communications.Exhibit 'Brilliant at the Basics' customer service skills and the ability to develop and maintain productive relationships with colleagues, management, and clients.In order to provide expected levels of service to Gate City Bank customers, co-workers and vendors, prompt and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.Must comply with all Gate City Bank policies, procedures, applicable laws and regulations.Must be detailed-oriented and maintain high degree of accuracy.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Associate degree in communications or related field; one or more years of related experience preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in writing and social media content creation preferred.Must be able to multitask.Critical thinker and problem-solver.Works well with a team.Organized and self-motivated.Excellent time management.Exceptional at communication and building relationships.EOE/including Disability/VetsMember FDIC
