Job SummaryThe VDI Systems Engineer is responsible for improving
and maintaining Avantor's unregulated as well as the GCC
(Government Community Cloud)/regulated enterprise Virtual Desktop
Infrastructure environment. As the VDI Systems Engineer you will
interact directly with the other Engineering Services Teams, the
Engineering Architect, cloud providers as well as other system
administrators to deliver VDI best practices for on-premises and
cloud-based solutions for employees, contractors, vendors, and
guests.
The VDI Systems Engineer will provide global 3rd level support and
troubleshooting for core VDI services within regulated and
unregulated VDI environments. As part of this well-respected IT

This is a remote opportunity.What we're looking for:Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Equivalent Work
Experience Required.Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years technical experience with VDI technology and
Client / Server Architectures in general, focus on Citrix
DaaS.
- Architecture and design experience with VDI solutions.
- Experience contributing to large scale VDI projects.
- Experience with Citrix on AWS is highly desired.
- Strong Knowledge on VDI technology, with focus on Citrix (DaaS,
NetScaler/ADC), RDP, Windows365 and AWS Workspace / Amazon
AppStreaming.
- Knowledge of NIST 800-172, CMMC, ITAR and SOX.
- Knowledge of Virtualization Technology, with focus on VMWare
VSphere.
- Knowledge of IT security best practices including Citrix SPA
and Splunk logging.
- Knowledge of Active Directory Group Policy.
- Knowledge of Enterprise WAN/LAN technologies and
-monitoring.
- Broad knowledge of information technologies.Certification(s):
- A Citrix certification
- Microsoft certification preferred
- AWS/Azure certification is a plusPreferred Qualifications:
- Experience with supporting M&A projects utilizing VDI
- Industry experience in pharma, life sciences, warehouse and/or
manufacturing
- Knowledge of cloud technologies, especially AWSWho are you:

teamwork/collaboration, analytical thinking, and
troubleshooting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good presentation skills.
- Ability to define project scopes, timelines and efficiently
advance projects from start to finish including excellent
documentation.
- Ability to work within a KPI driven framework.
- Accustomed to work within the ITIL/ITSM framework of Incident,
Problem, Change, and Release management.
- Ability to be an on-call escalation point for production
support and scheduled off-hours/weekend work if/when required.
- Desire to focus on and please the customer, ability to
understand requests from the customer's point of view.
- Experience leading project initiatives, effectively
communicating requirements, and delegating project tasks as
needed.
- Commitment to high professional and ethical standards in a

- Implements and supports VDI Services (currently Citrix,
NetScaler/ADC, AWS Workspaces, Amazon AppStreaming, W365) with a
focus on cloud-based delivery also within a regulated
environment.
- Contributes to the architecture, design and support of cloud,
on-premises VDI and NetScaler/ADC infrastructure within a regulated
environment.
- Contributes to the architecture, design and support of VDI as a
Service offering.
- Provides maintenance and project related support for a global
VDI infrastructure.
- Contributes to a comprehensive VDI strategy for the
consolidation of multiple Business Applications also in support of
the company's post-merger integration plans.
- Implements policies and governance for VDI in an enterprise
setting.
- Defines processes and workflows to ensure VDI compliance.
- Establishes and enforces standards and processes for the
administration of VDI.

Pay Transparency:The expected pre-tax pay for this position is
$73,500.00 - $122,400.00Actual pay may differ depending on relevant
factors such as prior experience and geographic
