The Compensation Analyst will collaborate with hiring managers,
research job requirements and evaluate job descriptions and
positions to ensure the company is competitive in the areas of
salaries bonus structures and benefits.
Prepares and maintains job descriptions for each position in the
organization; collaborates with managers to ensure job descriptions
accurately reflect the duties, responsibilities and skills required
by the job
Assesses jobs and their respective duties to determine
classification as exempt or nonexempt along with the appropriate
Benchmarks jobs against survey data and other market intelligence
to determine competitive compensation ranges for each position
Prepares and maintains job classifications and salary scales
Coordinates the annual compensation increases process, including
assisting with manager training and instruction
Collaborates with payroll to ensure accurate pay for new hires,
promotions and annual compensation changes
Set ups HRIS system with job titles, pay grades etc and ensure an
efficient and seamless process for posting new roles
Prepares and presents summary reports of job analysis and
compensation analysis information
Gathers data from market-based compensation surveys; uses
spreadsheet and data analysis techniques to assess results and
Ensure new roles are budgeted
Collaborates with HR leaders and executive team to create
competitive, cost-effective benefits packages for the
Advises on applicable state and federal employment regulations,
benefits and compensation policies, human resource procedures, and
Provides support and analysis for audits
Services the hiring managers within the expected Service Level
Provides back up support for other functions of HR when needed
Assist with special projects
Job Skills Required:
Three to five years of experience with compensation analysis.
Banking experience preferred.
Extensive knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research
Extensive knowledge of human resource laws, regulations and best
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent organizational, communication and time management
Excellent with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software,
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field required.
SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
Certified Compensation Professional certification required.
