Responsible for safely transporting and delivering products or materials in liquid, loose, or packaged form, while abiding by all state and local traffic laws.Key Responsibilities Always maintain conscientiousness for safety while driving, as well as performing all other duties Must complete all Truck Driver Training and Development Programs Full compliance with all FMCSA/DOT regulations and other Company policies and procedures as applicable Haul, load, and handle products as assigned while maintaining efficiencies, such as fuel and best hauling and loading practices Inspects truck for defects before, during, and after trips and submits report indicating truck condition Obtains schedule of load times and locations for the day and drives truck to destination applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skills Must be able to back up and maneuver in and around tight areas Maintains electronic driver log according to DOTregulations Regularly inspects truck equipment and supplies such as tires, lights, brakes, fuel, oil, and water Makes truck and/or trailer available for scheduled maintenanceTypical Education High School Diploma or General EducationDegree (GED) CDL Truck Driver SchoolRequirements Must have a valid Class A CDL with proper endorsements
Must have a current/valid DOT Medical Certification Must be at least 21 years of age due to travel requirements, or 18 years of age to operate solely in intrastate capacity only.
