WorkerPOSITION SUMMARY:An Agent is responsible for generating
growth within First MainStreet Insurance (specifically Ag, Farm,
and Ranch) and helping individuals, businesses and organizations
manage and mitigate risks. Agents will do so by prospecting,
networking, producing, and educating themselves within the
insurance industry. Agents will work closely with an Account
Manager to help assist with their client base and manage growth
expectations. An Agent is also responsible for the renewal
retention of existing accounts (specifically Ag, Farm, and Ranch).
The Agent will be part of an exceptional, resourceful, and
collaborative High-Performance Team (HPT) structure here at First
Mainstreet Insurance.ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS &
RESPONSIBILITIESAgents prospect for business based on your local
networks, connections, and communities Retain clients by
maintaining solid a High Performance Team (HPT) structureConduct
sales, service, and seek all forms of insurance business utilizing
the trained strategies taught by First MainStreet Obtain new
accounts by actively pursuing prospects and creating interest
through trained prospecting methodsAgents develop accounts and
cross sell available products and services by introducing to
appropriate specialists Maximize growth and client retention
through superior customer relationships and follow-up calls to
clientsGenerate and pursue new client opportunities and immediately
follow-up on client referralsMarketing of insurance risks to
companies in accordance with the practices, policies, and
procedures of the company Market all lines of commercial insurance
and directly impact revenue goals through the acquisition of new
business and the retention of renewalsAgents work with the Account
Managers to complete pre-underwriting, information gathering,
submissions, coverage analysis, and proposal presentations if
neededEffectively build relationships with insurance company
underwriters through a pattern of professional risk submissions,
company visitations, and negotiations Maintain superior knowledge
of market underwriting appetite, line of business trends, insurance
company changes, rating technique, and coverage development. Agents
accurately maintain prospects, new, and renewal business in the
agency management system (EPIC) to allow for proper analysis of
trends when gaining or losing business Present First MainStreet
Insurance services and solutions at prospect meetings Increase
industry and job knowledge as measured by attendance at continuing
education, obtaining, or updating designations, and participation
in other agency training offeringsTravel or visit clients when
necessaryMaintain confidentiality of client and carrier
informationPerform other duties, as assigned, appropriate to the
positionSKILLS & COMPETENCIESProven experience as an Insurance
Agent/Producer, customer relationship management, or
salesProficient in utilizing service management software and tools
like EPICHave an entrepreneurial mindsetExcellent communication and
interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and
influence stakeholders at all levelsExcellent organizational and
time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and handle
multiple client accounts simultaneouslyExperience with the
insurance industry terminology and documentationAbility to analyze,
interpret and present insurance-related dataPHYSICAL DEMANDS: The
physical demands described here are representative of those that

employee is regularly required to communicate verbally and to
listen for instructions and information. The employee is also
