Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Oakes, ND Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,056 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 3/2/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Oakes, North Dakota, 58474! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC (if ER nurse) Must-Have: Must be confident in skills such as assessments, infusion pumps, and medication administration. Strong social skills and teamwork ability are essential. Reliability is crucial. Description: This role involves working in a medical surgical unit with 20 beds. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5. RNs are required to titrate drips, including Insulin, Heparin, Levophed, and Amiodarone. Mindray monitors are used on the unit, and nurses are responsible for reading strips and documentation. Charge nurses are present 24/7 and do not take patient assignments as they oversee the ER as well. There are nurse aids available on the unit who check vital signs, chart, and document intake and output as well as activities of daily living. Nurses manage respiratory equipment and administer respiratory treatments. Shifts are scheduled 6 weeks in advance, with block scheduling available depending on staffing needs. Weekend assignments occur every third weekend, with shifts available both days and nights. Holiday work is encouraged as part of the rotation. Nurses are expected to float to the ER when needed, though not always the first to float. A flexible approach is appreciated in this environment, where teamwork is essential for patient care.
