We work hard, play harder, embrace authenticity, and always support one another to achieve our goals._____________________________________Location: 501 42nd St N, Fargo, ND 58102_____________________________________ Introduction:We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented National Account Manager to oversee our existing retail and distributor accounts and drive new business opportunities in the wild bird seed and poultry feed sectors. The ideal candidate will strive to create a deep understanding of our products and a knack for building strong customer relationships. Key Responsibilities:Sales Strategy and ExecutionKey Account Development - manage and nurture relationships with existing retail and distributor accounts, ensuring high levels of customer service.Develop and implement annual account / sales plan for each major account in alignment with the company's overall objectives.Identify sales opportunities, analyze market trends, and stay up to date on competitor activities to optimize sales strategies. Develop account specific strategies to drive sales growth, increase market share, and exceed revenue targets.Conduct regular visits throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or talks with customers on sales floor by phone.Travel may be up to 35% of the time.Present ideas on new items and or programs custom tailored for specific customer needs.Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure alignment of sales objective and execution plans.Implements customer price increases/ decreases as grain markets dictate.Manage a diverse range of SKUs. Monitor and review inventory levels, ensuring the availability of products and timely fulfillment of orders. Territory Management and Customer RelationshipsBuild and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs. Relationships include key accounts, retailers, distributors, and brokers within the channel.Build upon existing relationships and foster new customer relationships within an assigned channel.Manage relationships and agreements with brokers and distributors.Work with inside sales representatives to keep account activities and literature up to date.Maintains current accounts receivable for customer list, investigates shortages and or late payments.Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of own firm's production and delivery schedules.Continuously expand the customer base and identify new business opportunities to increase market penetration.Experience:Minimum 4-6 years' experience in retail sales or account management, preferably in seed or grain sales, wild bird seed or poultry feed industry.Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related work experience.Proven track record of success in national account management, delivering revenue growth, and building strong customer relationships.Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills; utilized to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.Results orientated mindset with a demonstrated ability to meet or exceed targets.Organized, detail - oriented and able to manage multiple tasks.Exceptional negotiation, sales, presentation, and problem-solving abilities.Excellent fact-based, financial selling skills and ability to forge business partnerships that help close the sale.Highly organized with excellent time managements skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and ability to learn inner company ERP systems.
